Community Center

The Community Center room, with kitchen and bar, is available to all Royal Oaks owners and residents. Residents who request the room must be present at all times, pay any required Fees beforehand, and your assessments must be current. FIRST check the Room Calendar for availability. Hours of operation are 9:00 am to 11:00 pm. After your Room Request is approved you will be provided with access information. Please read the Room Rules below, and then click on the Room Request button.

Room Rules & Fees

General Info. - The room will seat 50-75 comfortably at tables, and can hold a maximum of 150.   A full kitchen is available, with stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. The entrance is on the lower side of the building at 4411 Legends Way. (See 'Entry' info. below.)

 

Rules

To use the Center (or any ROPOA amenity or service), you must not be behind in property assessment payments.  If you serve alcoholic beverages a licensed bartender is required at all times. Please follow the guidance located on the room’s Thermostat.  Note: This is a Non-Smoking facility.

Guests must be accompanied by the applicant at all times, and the applicant is responsible for ensuring guest safety and proper conduct, and assumes all risk of protecting personal and Community Center property during the event. Children under 12 years of age must have adult supervision. The applicant and their guests use the Center facility at their own risk.

Fees

1. Residents must submit a $50 payment along with a second $50 refundable check. The refundable check will be returned after the room has been inspected for cleanliness. (Contact Janie Haley, Treasurer for details.)

 

2. Resident's CLUB FEE - $1.00. We define a Club as a locally organized group who meet to share a mutual interest such as a social activity or hobby (example: cards).  At least two attendees of each club event must be Royal Oaks residents or property owners.

[Fees help cover the cost of professional cleaning as needed, and part of the heating and A/C, lights, restroom supplies, etc.]

3. The various Royal Oaks Homeowner Associations (HOAs) and their committees may use this room for free for large events (like community meetings), but should use the Boardroom for smaller meetings. The rooms must be cleaned after each meeting. (The HOA's are: ROPOA, Golf Villas, Legacy Villas, & Ridge Club Condos).

Entry - Entry is controlled by a key in a lock box beside the door.  A code will be provided once you are approved, near the time of your event.

Trash – Do NOT place liquids or ice in any trashcans. All garbage must be placed in sturdy plastic bags and securely tied.  Use the green City trashcan after the event. If your garbage has food in it, and Wednesday is several days away, please dispose of it on your own.

Security

The installation of any security devices such as cameras, alarms or access control, is for the Center's protection. These devices do not provide any protection to residents or their guests or their personal property. Room users acknowledge that video security cameras may be recording event activities.

We reserve the right to make changes to these policies with proper notice.
