PAVING UPDATE from the ROPOA President
May 28, 2026
We have a tentative date of the 2nd week of June to begin two paving projects. Weather can be a factor on these dates... The paving will start at our front entrance (by Aldi’s); and then they will work on Masters Drive.
Roads will be closed to through traffic during this time. DeVictor and Masters will be closed except for residents in the area, which will have one lane available. We have to leave room for emergency vehicles, but will block all other through traffic. It will be an inconvenience for some for a short period of time, but once it’s done it will be significantly better for all.

Potential Development Nearby
and Rezoning Information
Prisma Health, the owner of Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital, has requested a rezoning from Residential to Business/Transportation of the large parcel of land immediately adjacent to homes on Legends Way near the 411 entrance, and homes on the east/south side of Torrey Pines Drive (formerly Holes 10 & 11).
The potential development will be accessible by the road next to Walgreens off of Hwy 411, not through Royal Oaks roads.
Their stated plan is to build an "outpatient surgery center and medical office building"* on this parcel. According to the concept plan provided by Prisma to the city, the parcel they want to rezone, adjacent to our homes, will include the back part of a large building with a patient entrance and two parking lots. That is the scene that would face the houses on Torrey Pines and Legends. Prisma’s parking lots will almost literally be next to the backyards of these homes. (See image below.) Because of the significant downward slope of this parcel toward Torrey Pines Drive, the parking lots and the cars in them will be very visible from homes on Torrey Pines, Royal Oaks Drive, and Legends Way. It is unlikely that any walls and landscaping installed as part of the development will be tall enough to obscure the parking lots and cars from view.
The Maryville Planning Commission met March 23. They will make their recommendation to the City Council. City Council meetings will take place in April and May, and then they will make the final decision.

Grinder Pumps
285 of our homes use Grinder Pumps. The rest use gravity sewer systems.
